Riftbound Vi vs Vex: Choosing an Unleashed Champion Deck

Vi and Vex are two preconstructed Champion Deck options from Riftbound: Unleashed. Both give you a defined deck to start from, but they approach the game differently. The choice is about which approach you want to explore.

What comes with a Champion Deck?

Riot lists a 56-card preconstructed deck, one Unleashed booster, a paper playmat, a rules and deck-building guide, and a foldable paper deck box for each of these English releases. Each listing is for one Champion Deck. The included booster adds randomized cards for exploring changes to the deck.

Vi: pressure and stronger units

Vi’s deck focuses on strengthening units and applying pressure around the battlefields. It is the option to examine if you like a direct plan built around your units. Check its fixed decklist before deciding which cards you would change.

Vex: a slower, disruptive approach

Vex’s deck is designed to interfere with an opponent’s plans and create difficult decisions while holding battlefields. It is worth considering if you prefer a slower approach with more emphasis on disruption.

Which should you buy?

Start with the champion and style you want to learn. Neither deck is a promise of tournament results, and a preconstructed deck is a starting point rather than a requirement to keep every card unchanged. Two players each need an appropriate deck; these are individual products, not a bundled two-player set.
